Handmade soapstone and leather pendant with the Tree of Life symbol, handcrafted in the south of France.
Steatite has been used since the Upper Paleolithic for art and ornamentation. Later, the Scandinavians discovered its great thermal properties of accumulating and releasing heat and have since used it in the production of containers, heating elements, etc.
On a subtle level, steatite has calming and soothing properties ; it is used in Lithotherapy to calm and stabilize the mind . It improves communication and socialization .
The Tree of Life symbolizes the connection between heaven and earth, spiritual evolution, and the interdependence of all life. It represents wisdom, growth, balance, and universal harmony. Its roots reach deep into the earth (matter) while its branches reach up toward the sky (the divine), embodying the union between the material and spiritual worlds.
The symbols are hand-painted, and the paint is protected with a layer of thermosetting resin to ensure a perfect finish. The setting is done with leather cord.
