Handmade soapstone and leather pendant with Triskel symbol, handcrafted in the south of France.
Steatite has been used since the Upper Paleolithic for art and ornamentation. Later, the Scandinavians discovered its great thermal properties of accumulating and releasing heat and have since used it in the production of containers, heating elements, etc.
On a subtle level, steatite has calming and soothing properties ; it is used in Lithotherapy to calm and stabilize the mind . It improves communication and socialization .
The Triskel is a symbol associated with life on earth, the afterlife, and reincarnation. It also evokes the universal trinity of existence: earth, sea, sky - body, soul, spirit - past, present, future... A symbol very similar to the Triquetra in its trinary symbolism.
The symbols are hand-painted, and the paint is protected with a layer of thermosetting resin to ensure a perfect finish. The setting is done with leather cord.
