Steatite has been used since the Upper Paleolithic for art and ornamentation. Later, the Scandinavians discovered its great thermal properties of accumulating and releasing heat and have since used it in the production of containers, heating elements, etc.
On a subtle level, steatite has calming and soothing properties ; it is used in Lithotherapy to calm and stabilize the mind . It improves communication and socialization .
The Seed of Life is the core of a larger symbol, the Flower of Life, which itself becomes, by extension of the number of circles, the total Kabbalistic symbol: the Tree of Life. The overlapping circles represent the interdependence and interconnectedness of all forms of Creation, respecting the infinite complexity of all life and generating ever more diversity. It represents an infinite source of energy for all beings.
The symbols are hand-painted, and the paint is protected with a layer of thermosetting resin to ensure a perfect finish. The setting is done with leather cord.
