Steatite has been used since the Upper Paleolithic for art and ornamentation. Later, the Scandinavians discovered its great thermal properties of accumulating and releasing heat and have since used it in the production of containers, heating elements, etc.
On a subtle level, steatite has calming and soothing properties ; it is used in Lithotherapy to calm and stabilize the mind . It improves communication and socialization .
Unalome symbolizes the journey of Life , an image of the inner path. The spiral symbolizes birth, the source, the original energy, evolution. The loops then symbolize possible failures, obstacles, detours, all the experiences from which we learn and which elevate us, make us grow. The zigzags symbolize the exit from ignorance, the broadening of consciousness. The straight line represents the realization of the Self, individualization. Finally, the point, at the top, is the culmination, the total awakening of our consciousness.
The symbols are hand-painted, and the paint is protected with a layer of thermosetting resin to ensure a perfect finish. The setting is done with leather cord.
